The house that has fragrant and fresh aroma certainly gives pleasure, tranquility, and makes it feeling at home.
There is nothing better than walking into the living room or family room greeted with fragrant aroma.
However, to guess the room does not always use air freshener or aromatherapy candle. You can use ornamental plants to make up and refresh the room.
Of course, this one way is healthier, plus ornamental plants can add shade and beautify the room.
Stephen McFarlane, regional landscape manager at Sandals Resorts International, said the biggest consideration when choosing indoor-fragrant-gracious ornamental plants was the amount of light needed.
"The more light received, the better for plants," he said quoted from the Real Simple page.
Well, here are five fragrant-scented ornamental plants that can refresh the room.
KUMPUAN
KUMPUAN is a small orange plant that grows slowly and has a fragrant aroma. However, to take care of him, there are some things that must be considered.
"To take care of this plant, you should avoid letting it sit on the wet ground, and the more light received, the better for plants," McFarlane said.
In addition, McFarlane suggested watering plants only until the drainage hole when the top two to three inches of dry soil.
Avoid placing plants near the heating or AC unit and protecting it from the wind coming from the window and door.
Make sure to use the recommended fertilizer for oranges and stop using fertilizer in winter when the plant stops growing.
Jessamine orange
Although not oranges, jessamine or orange jessamine orange has very fragrant flowers similar to the aroma of the orange. This ornamental plant requires regular pruning so that it remains small and compact.
McFarlane suggested giving orange jessamine plants exposure to full sunlight and consistent watering.
Use balanced-looking fertilizer which is 15-15-15 with a mixture of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium - and stop using fertilizer when active growth stops in winter.
Night Blooming Jasmine
Seeing the name, you might think that this is a jasmine plant, but actually this is a member of the Nightshade family. It has very fragrant flavorful flowers, but only at night.
McFarlane suggested keeping plants in areas exposed to full sun and let dry between watering.
"Be sure to foster with half the strength, the balanced fertilizer during the planting season and cut after bloom can push the flower to increase," McFarlane said.
Oregano Cuba
Furthermore, fragrant-scented ornamental plants that can refresh the room are Oregano Cuba. This ornamental plant will provide the best aroma if you rub it by hand or put it near the window so that the aroma flows.
"Coleus Amboinicus is best in bright light with a well-dried land. Let two inches on the ground dry and avoid excessive watering. Store in small pots and cut regularly," McFarlane advice.

Wax Plant.
Wax Plant is one of the fragrant-scented ornamental plants that can refresh the room. This plant is a candle leaf vine that produces fragrant star-shaped flowers.
McFarlane said the decorative plant Wax Plant liked bright light, but was careful of light too little can make this plant won't bloom.
"Be sure pouring plants regularly during the planting season, let the top of the ground dry out between watering. Don't cut the plant's long tendrils because that's where the new leaves and flowers are formed."
